B&B’s First Blogiversary

With no expectations and a little bit of bravery, a year ago today, I pressed publish on bitsandbeths.com. This single, seemingly small action allowed me to grow, to connect, to celebrate, to feel, and, most of all, to write in ways I never have before.

That day, I saw this blog as an exciting way to reconnect with an old hobby. A year later, I view this platform differently, because I view myself differently, too. I see passion, opportunity, creativity, dedication, confidence, and community. Community! You guys! I can’t believe the amount of love I’ve received from friends, family, and strangers, all the same, just because I took the leap. To the friends who celebrated my launch, to the unexpected readers who have sent their love in person and online, to the people who have shared my work, to my parents who have tuned in every Sunday without fail, to the man who’s listened intently to every idea and never made me feel silly, all the way to the silent readers, I cannot thank you enough. Thank you for your support, thank you for reading, thank you for valuing my voice. Now I do too.

Bits & Beths has been the absolute best part of my year. It’s been a space for me to be completely myself, unapologetically. It’s been a grounding presence in a year that has felt so heavy. It’s been a space filled with joy and pride when I’ve struggled to find them in myself. I know myself so much deeper than I did on January 19th, 2025, simply because I chose to press publish.

If that was only season one, I can’t wait to see all that season two brings. Here’s to me, here’s to you, and here’s to season two! Going up!

Write you soon!

Beth
